Visiting professor from the Havana University delivered a number of practical classes dedicated to the problems of translation and interpretation

Visiting professor Bárbara Karell Furé delivered a number of practical classes dedicated to the problems of translation and interpretation for the students of the master's degree  programme "Theory of translation and intercultural communication". The professor paid a particular attention to the peculiarities of the Spanish-Russian translation and interpretation in the political sphere.

During the lessons the students worked with such texts as speeches of the Russian politicians who have taken part in different inter-State events in Cuba, with cooperation agreements between the Universities.

Historical and сultural awareness is very important for a professional translator and interpreter.

Bárbara Karell Furé also spoke on the peculiarities of the Cuban Spanish and life in Cuba in general.
