SFU delegation took part in the Fourth Forum of Rectors of Russian and Ibero-American Universities which was held at the University of Seville on the 16th-18th of October. The Forum was attended by the representatives of 24 leading Russian universities and 43 universities of Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Honduras, Andorra, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Venezuela.
At the Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between SFedU and the Polytechnic University of Madrid: the Spanish specialists will visit to the Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security. During the meetings with representatives of the College of Engineering of the University of Cadiz, the agreements were reached on the opening of a joint laboratory in the field of Nanobiotechnology and new materials. In November 2019, the first webinar will be held by the University of Cadiz teachers for SFedU students. An online lecture will be delivered by the Institute of Nanotechnologies, Electronics and Equipment Engineering specialists for the University of Cadiz master students.
The SFedU delegation included a plenipotentiary representative of the rector in the countries of the Ibero-American area Natalia Karpovskaya, a Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security Gennady Veselov, a Director of the Institute of Nanotechnologies, Electronics and Equipment Engineering Alexander Fedotov, an acting head of the Department of Ibero-American studies in language, translation and intercultural communications Irina Abkadyrova, a head of the Department of computer science Alexey Samoilov, a head of the Department of nanotechnology and microsystems engineering Alexey Kolomiytsev.
