Iberoamerican Cultural Center invites you to a lecture on the linguistic situation of Paraguay.
You will learn about the features of the Paraguayan version of the Spanish language, about guarani - the only language of the indigenous population of Latin America that has the status of the state language; bilingualism and diglossia, about the "new" language of Paraguay - jopará (guarañol) and many other interesting facts related to the linguistic situation in this country.
The lecture will be accompanied by a presentation with examples from fiction, the press, and the daily life of Paraguay.

Lecturer - Igor Yurievich Protsenko, PhD, academic coordinator of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, professor at the Faculty of Humanities at UniNorte University in Asunion (Paraguay), visiting professor at the Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don.
The lecture will be delivered in Russian.
