Southern Federal University and Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages (Uzbekistan) open Russian-Uzbekistan Center for education, language and culture

On November 26 SFedU delegation visited the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. During the official visit  an agreement of cooperation was signed, which outlines the main areas of interaction between partner universities.
One of the main goals is to create a joint Russian-Uzbekistan Center for education, language and culture, which will facilitate the implementation of international educational and research projects in the field of humanities, organization of network educational programs, students worlplacement and practical training at both universities etc.

During the visit, representatives of our university communicated with  teaching staff and students. SfedU delegation presented educational programs in the field of humanities, paying attention to the possibilities of future cooperation, which can open new prospects for students and professors. In addition, our delegation proposed several integration projects in the field of philology, theory and practice of translation, studies of Russian and oriental languages and cultures, sociology of migration and interethnic relations, tourism industry etc. SSIoFL students expressed great interest in the possibilities of participating  in summer and winter schools held by SFedU.
