Science Slam

University Science Slam League, project aimed at promoting science among the youth, is launched by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Association of Citizens and Organizations to Promote Science and innovations “Science Slam” and National Research Technological University “MISiS”.

Southern Federal University is the host of “Science Slam” within the framework of the “Festival of Science of the South of Russia”.

Science Slam League is a format in which young researchers present relevant scientific ideas and results of their own research in a witty and widely accessible form within 10-minute time limit. The audience choose the winner with the help of applause.

In order to participate young researchers need:

• To be a part of scientific activity as a part of a group developing a project or as a solo researcher and to have experience in scientific conferences;
• To have the results of their own scientific research;
• To Fill out an application form;
• To Go through Science Slam online training course (June 2022);
• To Pass the selection stage at their university;
• To be ready to participate in region and Russian stages of the Science Slam.

Regional stage winners will be invited to partake in the final stage of Russian University Science Slam in December 2022 at the Sirius platform in Sochi.

Advantages:

• Possibility to draw attention to the research;
• Integration into the community of young researchers of Russia;
• Becoming a part of the Russian Lecturers Database;
• Receiving media coverage.
