On November 26 SFedU delegation visited the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. During the official visit an agreement of cooperation was signed, which outlines the main areas of interaction between partner universities.One of the main goals is to create a joint Russian-Uzbekistan Center for education, language and culture, which will facilitate the implementation of international educational and research projects in the field of humanities, organization of network educational programs, students worlplacement and practical training at both universities etc.
During the visit, representatives of our university communicated with teaching staff and students. SfedU delegation presented educational programs in the field of humanities, paying attention to the possibilities of future cooperation, which can open new prospects for students and professors. In addition, our delegation proposed several integration projects in the field of philology, theory and practice of translation, studies of Russian and oriental languages and cultures, sociology of migration and interethnic relations, tourism industry etc. SSIoFL students expressed great interest in the possibilities of participating in summer and winter schools held by SFedU.
SSIoFL was represented by rector Ilhomzhon Tuhtasinov, vice-rector for research activities and innovation Shahobidin Ashurov and director of the international relations department Bahodir Berdialiev. SFedU was represented by Natalia Karpovskaya plenipotentiary representative of the SFedU rector in the countries of the Ibero-American area, head of the International institute of interdisciplinary education and ibero-american studies, head of the Institute of Sociology and Regional Studies Andrey Bedrik, member of SFedU Expert Council, associated professor of the department of Earth sciences Olesya Nazarenko and the head of the Department of Support for Educational and Scientific Innovation Programmes and Projects Ruben Tsitsuashvili.
