The Science Festival of the South of Russia has already become a traditional event for all people who are not indifferent to science, one of the key and large–scale projects of Southern Federal University. This year the Festival was held under the slogan «Russian Science: Past, Present, Future».
Thousands of students, schoolchildren, Rostov residents of different ages gathered at the Festival site to get acquainted with the educational, scientific and technical trends of the past, present and future of our country and the South of Russia.
The opening ceremony of the Science Festival was attended by Vladimir Gurba, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District, Tamara Shevchenko, Acting Minister of General and Vocational Education of the Rostov Region, Inna Shevchenko, Rector of Southern Federal University, and Marina Borovskaya, President of Southern Federal University.
The International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies of SFedU prepared a thematic exhibition «Foreign Languages in Life and Profession». Everyone had an opportunity to get acquainted with the scientific works and publications of the academic staff, take an entertaining quiz and find out which countries the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies cooperates with, as well as learn how to play Cuban maracas and Spanish castanets.
The educational programs implemented at the Institute, as well as additional education programs in the field of Spanish aroused interest of the visitors. The exposition of the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies attracted the attention of many international students, who were glad to learn that their compatriots study at our Institute.
